The American Dream doesn’t ask where you're from - it asks what you'll build. Milton Iljadhis answered with more than 25 years of hard work, perseverance, and rugs that turn houses into homes. When he arrived in Brooklyn from Albania, he could not have imagined that his rugs would one day be found in homes across the United States.

Milton's journey began in Albania, where he learned the value of hard work at an early age. He later moved to Greece, attended culinary school, and studied business management. After working as a chef, he moved to the U.S. in 2001, determined to build something of his own.

For four years, Milton worked at a New York rug distributor, developing customer relationships and learning every part of the industry - from textile patterns to the stories behind each design. In 2005, he took a chance on a dream and founded MDA Rugs, beginning a new chapter built around importing distinctive rugs to the United States.

Today, MDA blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design to create affordable, timeless rugs for homes nationwide. The company has weathered economic challenges, expanded beyond traditional styles, and continued to explore new ideas - from stain-resistant textiles to LED-lit rugs that combine art and function.

More than 25 years later, MDA stands for perseverance, passion, honesty, love and respect. Milton's belief remains simple: work hard, stay true to yourself, and there are no limits.
